Council Office Refurbishment

Project Outline

NorWood Consultants Ltd were appointed as the Clients M & E representatives to design, upgrade and manage the refurbishment of the Hertsmere Borough Council Civic Offices.

The office space consisted of a Council Chamber, Management Suite and Open Plan Offices over three floors.

The works were phased due to the offices being fully occupied during the refurbishment.  The works were completed on time within budget and to the clients’ requirements.

The Services provided included:-

• •  Complete Survey of the Offices existing M & E plant.
  • Heat gain & loss calculations.
  • New replacement lighting and emergency lighting design.
  • New VRF heat recovery heating & cooling design throughout.
  • New mechanical heat recovery supply & extract ventilation.
  • Upgraded electrical distribution boards, power, data & wiring.
  • Design of new fire dampers throughout & BEMS control.
  • Undertook site inspections, site monitoring and defects inspections.
  • Witnessed the testing & commissioning of mechanical & electrical services.
